Netflix Senna

After 15 years in advertising, Miagui expands its reach and makes its debut in the VFX market by collaborating on Senna, the biggest production from Netflix Brazil in 2024. Our challenge was to recreate the iconic race scenes from the historic Monaco GPs of 1984 and 1988, entirely in CGI. With over 60 professionals involved, our team recreated more than 120 iconic buildings in Monaco, as well as urban objects, vehicles, and drivers, all with meticulous attention to detail. The use of CGI was crucial to ensure creative flexibility, framing, and perspectives never before seen by fans—something that would have been impossible with physical locations.

Throughout the entire process, our biggest technical challenge was simulating the rain, which is a key moment in the '84 race. To achieve this, we developed a pipeline that involved a series of physical simulations combined with compositing work. As a result, the shots in this episode became the highlight of the project, allowing us to create extremely original and unexpected visuals.
